'Pan Sapiens', aims to celebrate David Smith's life in an upbeat way, looking back with fond memories of raves gone by, with a distinct sense of bittersweet euphoria, as well as acknowledging his sense of humour.

The title refers to David's online persona, meaning 'the thinking ape', for he was a man on a constant quest for knowledge - a teacher of science, with a particularly keen interest in apes and other primates.

Also, he had the stature of a mighty gorilla.
